Chronicles of the Graceful Knight
Honor and Intrigue in the time of the Fading Suns
It is the dawn of the sixth millennium and the skies are darkening, for the suns themselves are fading. Humans reached the stars long ago, building a Republic of high technology and universal emancipation — and then squandered it, fought over it, and finally lost it.
A New Dark Age has descended upon humanity, for the greatest of civilizations has fallen and now even the stars are dying. Feudal lords rule the Known Worlds, vying for power with fanatic priests and scheming guilds.
A new Questing Knight has been given her charter, eager to make her name yet reluctant to open up to others. An Ukari warrior, honorable yet cruel, stands always by her side, whispering secrets in her ear. She gives confession to a strange Ur-Obun woman, a liberal priest of the Eskatonic Order who wishes to learn what others might destroy. She has the services of a talented Scraver doctor who doesn’t ask many questions and is as handy with a sniper rifle as he is with a scalpel. She is joined by the Scraver’s brightest inventor, whose past is a mystery, even to himself.
Can these strange people, brought together by circumstance and manipulation, change the Known Worlds, or will they become yet more victims of the things that move in the Dark Between the Stars?
Baronet Koralia Justinian Hawkwood: A new Questing Knight with more secrets than answers.
Kadan Gundar oj Malak: Faithful bodyguard to Lady Koralia, he seems to have more influence with her than any Ukari should.
Enhenduanna: An Ur-Obun priest of the Eskatonic Order, she is the confessor of the group. Her actions and motivations are unusual for a priest, though her faith is genuine.
Associate Paxton Jeffries: A brilliant inventor, currently working for the Scavers. His past is a mystery, even to himself.
Genin Hughard Wulfric: A Scraver doctor who isn’t afraid to get his hands dirty, and doesn’t ask too many questions. He is as handy with a sniper rifle as he is with a scalpel, but his devotion to the Church confuses some.
The Known Worlds
Lady Koralia and her companions have already visited a number of the Known Worlds in their travels.
Delphi: The homeworld of Lady Koralia, Doctor Wulfric, and Paxton.
Ravenna: A peaceful, idyllic mining world that strives towards the Church’s ideals of simple living.

- Mord: A rock in the middle of an asteroid belt, rumored to hold Diaspora era facilities.
Byzantium Secundus: The heart of politics and culture in the Known Worlds.
- Cumulus Station: A Merchant League customs outpost in the Byzantium Secundus system.
Bannockburn: Home to the monkey-like Gannok, and a stronghold of the Muster Guild.
- Fort Saint Elmo: Bannockburn’s primary docking space station and customs outpost.
Pentateuch: a world of strange occurrences, and home to the Eskatonic Order.
The Second Republic held many properties on many worlds that have since been severed from the Jumpweb, waiting for their coordinates to be discovered.
Gizeh: A Lost World, home of the mysterious, alien Ming.
